New cost-effective, web-based continuing education aims to advance careers
DALLAS – The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) recently unveiled convenient, cost-effective online continuing education courses through its new program for professional development, the Fire Sprinkler eCampus. All available right from your laptop or desktop computer at AFSA’s Web site, www.firesprinkler.org, eCampus offers targeted, in-depth fire sprinkler and construction-oriented courses, authored by leading industry experts. These targeted courses were developed for fire sprinkler contractors – owners, sales, project managers, designers, and their teams, as well as Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), architects, engineers and plan reviewers as part of AFSA’s comprehensive continuing education program.
“AFSA now offers high quality, online learning at home and at work,” said Steve Muncy, president of AFSA. “Online learning offers fire protection and other construction professionals great opportunities to get consistent, easy-to-access training for themselves or large groups of employees. Through this program, AFSA will maintain its leadership in fire sprinkler and related industry education."
Accessible 24/7 using the Internet, eCampus allows registrants to work at their convenience and gives them one year to complete their coursework. Registrants can learn at their own pace - day or night - via a wide selection of hard-to-find topics for all experience levels. Course offerings include codes and standards and CAD training, as well as project management, sales and basic business skills, safety and business regulations with additional courses constantly being added.
Fire Sprinkler eCampus’ courses allows you to earn valuable continuing education units (CEUs) for licensure and professional development. You can also earn CPD credit for completed eCampus coursework if applicable to your skill level as determined by NICET. eCampus are also perfect for getting “just-in-time” knowledge for a specific project issue, assisting with Fundamentals of Engineer (FE) / Professional Engineer (PE) / Principles and Practices of Surveying (PS) exam prep, or obtaining valuable continuing education credits to maintain State licensure. These courses can fulfill the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW), ADA, Ethics, Laws & Rules, Building Codes, Workers Compensation, Workplace Safety and other mandatory requirements.
Upon eCampus course completion, electronic certificates are instantly available to print or save and are automatically stored in a user profile for verification of completion.
AFSA members receive a discount on all eCampus courses purchased. To access the AFSA member discount code, go to the AFSA Web site and login with your member ID name and password. If you are an AFSA member and do not have a member discount
